Act 358 of the Michigan Public Acts of 1994, commonly known as the "ferret law," states in section 6 that any person who sells or transfers a ferret must furnish a health information sheet to the new owner of the ferret. The health information sheet is to be provided by the Michigan Department of Agriculture.

The health information sheet provided here may be downloaded and printed for distribution purposes. There are two pages intended as a single double-sided brochure.

Please be sure that all persons obtaining ferrets through your facility are provided this information sheet. You are free to provide additional material or handouts as you may already be doing or to otherwise meet the needs of your customers.
