See how ice cream, yogurt and cheese are processed. Sample the delights after a tour, or just visit the store for a special treat.

Visitors can observe milking procedures every afternoon, and see animals in the petting zoo on MSU's Farm Tours. Visit the farms of sheep, cows, horses and swine. Allow approximately 30 minutes for each farm.

A free, self-guided tour starts in the milking parlor and ends with a chance to pet the calves in outdoor nursery hutches. Call for current milking times; they're at dawn, around noon, and at dusk. If you miss seeing milking, you can watch an interesting nine-minute video on dairy farming practices. A free booklet explains the basics of milk production and nutrition.  From Kalamazoo, take M-89 east through Gull Lake and Richland and turn north on 40th Street. The dairy is 2 1/2 miles north, past B Avenue

Directions: Proceed South on Kalamazoo to 108th St. Turn left and we are the first farm on the right.

Tours are offered to groups of 15 or more people. The cost is $5.75 per person with ice cream and $4.75 without ice cream. The price includes a hayride, feeding the animals and, depending on the time, you will get to see the milking of cows. Some of the animals that are on the farm include catfish, baby cows and deer.
