LANSING - The Michigan Commission of Agriculture today announced the three candidates selected to interview for the Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDA) Director position.
The interview candidates are:
- Jamie Clover Adams of Lansing
- Donald Koivisto of Ellsworth
- Alex Stemme of Jonesville
Note - James McBryde of Mount Pleasant requested his name be withdrawn from consideration prior to the selection of candidates to be interviewed.
The interviews will be held on Monday, August 13, 2007 during a special meeting of the Commission of Agriculture. The meeting begins at 10 a.m. in the Governor’s Room at the Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI 48933 and is open to the public.
It is the intention of the Commission to finalize their decision on Monday.
The Michigan Commission of Agriculture is a bipartisan body appointed by the Governor to provide oversight and policy direction for MDA programs; appoint the director of agriculture; and approve the rules and regulations the department promulgates.
