Pizza Lesson 5

Celebrate pizza! Facts about pizza will be shared.

Objectives:
Have students understand the importance of this food in America

Time needed:
1 class period

Materials:
Have students research pizza on the Internet

Activities:
Students will learn and write about pizza as a force in books, movies, and song. Play pizza jeopardy. Winning team gets pizza certificates. Have a pizza party at the end of the week-long study of pizza. Create math story problems using pizza. For example: a football team of nine orders three large pizzas. Each pizza has twelve pieces. How many pieces will each football player get?
