REGULATION 612 "X" DISEASE OF PEACHPest: "X" Disease of Peach (Yellow Red Virosis)
State Regulated: All
Regulated Materials: Chokecherry (Prunus Virginiana)
Restrictions: Regulated materials are prohibited from being grown or sold within 1000 feet of peach or cherry nursery stock; or within 500 feet of peach or cherry orchards.
SCLERODERRIS CANKER QUARANTINE
Pest: Scleroderris canker caused by Scleroderris lagerbergii
State Regulated: Portions of New York and Vermont
Regulated Materials: Trees (including Christmas trees), twigs, branches, needles, wreaths, logs or pulpwood with twigs or branches of any species of larch, pine or spruce; or, Douglas fir
Restrictions: Regulated materials are prohibited
VEGETABLE PLANT QUARANTINE
Pest: Various pests and diseases
State Regulated: All states
Regulated Materials: Tomato, pepper, onion, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potato and celery plants
Restrictions: Any of the quarantined articles, free from soil, or in soil freed from plant pests by methods acceptable to the certifying agency may be moved into Michigan when accompanied by a certificate issued by the state of origin. Plants must have been inspected no more than 3 days before shipment. Any materials infested with plant pests or not accompanied by a valid certificate may be destroyed or ordered removed from the state.
HEMLOCK WOOLLY ADELGID QUARANTINE
Pest: Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (Adelges tsugae)
State Regulated: Alaska, California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia in its entirety and Counties included in the USDA Forest Service publication "List of Counties and States with Known Hemlock Woolly Adeldgid Infestations" December 2000
Regulated Materials: Hemlock seedlings and nursery stock, logs, lumber with bark, uncomposted chips with bark and uncomposted bark.
Restrictions: All regulated articles originating from or held in an area under quarantine are prohibited entry into Michigan unless treated with a method approved by the Director of Agriculture. Regulated articles from non-quarantined areas must be accompanied by a state phytosanitary certificate or certificate of quarantine compliance. Additional restrictions apply for hemlock wood products with bark. Nursery stock transported through quarantined areas must be safeguarded from infestation.
