What is discontinuance?
Discontinuance is when a manufacturer or registrant ceases to ship additional product into the state but continues to register the product for at least two additional years. Discontinuance allows retailers to legally sell any remaining product they may have in stock prior to the product actually being cancelled. Without discontinuance, retailers could be "stuck" with product they can't legally sell because it is no longer registered.
Do I need to send labels with registration?
Yes. All new product registrations and renewals require a marketplace label to be added to the package. Without a label, the product can't be registered.
