IMPORTANT NOTES:
If you are an existing business in the State of Michigan and now want to obtain a nursery license (see Table 2 below), select the "Add my Existing Business" option after registering as a user, creating your new password/security questions and accepting the Terms and Conditions of Use. After you complete the rest of the One Stop registration process, you will arrive at the My WorkSpace screen. Click on the Add Task button in the upper right-hand corner, search for the word "nursery", select the appropriate new grower or dealer task, add it to your WorkSpace, and then click on the added task to go to the on-line form to complete.
If you are starting a new business in the State of Michigan, Click on Start a New Business and you will need to know the 6-digit NAICS code (North American Industrial Classification System) for your type of business.
One Stop uses the NAICS code created by the Federal government (replaced SIC/Standard Industrial Code) to define businesses in order to determine what licenses may be required. It takes all six digits to uniquely identify a single type of business from the hundred of thousands of types of business that exist.
