Tips On Navigating the MDARD Website
The Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development's Website covers such diverse areas of state government, from groundwater management to gasoline quality, searching for a specific item may at first seem an overwhelming task.
There are, however, a variety of tools available to help speed you on your way:
- Top of the Page: At the top of every page of the MDARD website you will find several links to assist you with your visit. There you'll find a Sitemap which is an outline of MDARD content categories. It can help you locate where the specific content you're looking for is located on the MDARD site. There is also a link to the Home Page, a link to a page on how to Contact MDARD; a list of Public Meeting Notices and a list of Online Services offered by the deparment.
- Search Engine: In the box on the upper righthand corner of every page you will find a Search box: just add a phrase or a few keywords to the text box, and click "Search." (Because some content shows up in multiple places on our site, that content may show up multiple times in your search results.) Please Note: The "Search" feature on the Michigan.gov website was recently upgraded, and should now be providing better results. If you don't find something on the MDARD site search, please consider visiting the main Michigan.gov home page and searching from that page which will provide you with results from ALL State of Michigan departments.
- Featured Links: On the righthand side of most pages will be a list of links to some of the more popular features on the site.
- Categories/Main Navigation: On the lefthand side are the major categories of the MDARD website. If you hover your mouse button over those names, a small box will pop-up with a list of the items within that category.
- E-mail: If you still can't find what you're looking for, send MDARD's website administrator an e-mail, which is checked several times daily. This e-mail address is also good if you have a specific question you want answered that simply isn't on the site, and the website administrator will be sure to forward your message on to the appropriate MDARD division for response.
- Or use this handy form! But please . . . only use this form if you are looking for content or a form that you believe should already be on the MDARD website. If you have a QUESTION for someone at the department, please follow the directions on the Contact Us page. We will be able to respond to you much more quickly from that page.
