Apprenticeship Training for Veterans

A registered apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction in which paid workers learn the practical and theoretical aspects of a highly skilled occupation.  Individual employers, joint employer and labor groups, and employer associations sponsor apprenticeship programs.   For additional information, e-mail  us or call us at (800) 455-5228.

Local community colleges are becoming increasingly involved in apprenticeship classroom training.  Some veterans' (USN, USMC, USCG) apprenticeable military training and work experience, including a Work Process Schedule, can be documented by USMAP (United Services Military Apprenticeship Program)
