The Michigan Adult Education Professional Development Project (MAEPD) has been developed to provide administrators with professional development activities and opportunities that will enable them to enhance their programs, improve teacher and student performance, and ensure that all programs meet the needs of their respective communities. To ensure that activities and opportunities are relevant and meet the needs of adult education administrators and instructors, the MAEPD planning and design team actively sought the input of administrators and instructors statewide.
A very important part of this project is the development and ongoing support of a professional development website. The website located at www.maepd.org is now available for adult educators statewide. The website includes general information about the project, Internet resources including E-Libraries for both administrators and instructors, web-based training components, and a bulletin board that will enable you to “talk” with administrators and instructors on issues of interest to you.
The MAEPD website will continue to grow throughout this year as more components are added to the site. We encourage you to take a few minutes to access the site and view the resources that are available to you.
