We are located about one block west of the State of Michigan Plaza building on Porter Street between Rosa Parks and Trumbull Avenue.


Unique Features:

The staff consist of the following: three administrative assistants, one receptionist, three blended staff (servicing the following - Native American population, deaf and hard of hearing, and the Empowerment zone), six counselors, one service supervisor, and one district manager.

Staff provide services to persons with the following disabilities: mental health, deaf, hearing impaired, traumatic brain injured, End Renal Stage, Project Hope, Native American population, Arabic/Chaldean population, M-Coit project, and Renaissance project. The Empowerment Zone project allows for services for individuals that reside within a geographical boundary in the city of Detroit. There is a cash match agreement with the Community Mental Health Board for servicing customers with severe mental health disabilities. A committed relationship is maintained with local community partners to develop individualized programs to help enrich our customers' lives.

The staff is committed to developing and implementing programs within the office as well as within the community to motivate our customers in improving their lives. "It's About Work" is an example of a newly developed program within the office which allows customers to obtain rapid placement. The focus of this office is to provide quality and exceptional service to our customers.
