The U.S. Department of Energy and the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor, and Economic Growth sponsored a day-long seminar, held at SEMCOG's downtown Detroit offices, on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. The seminar examined job creation through effective use of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds. Opening remarks were made by Dr. Edward Montgomery, Director, White House Office of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers.
