UPDATE: Up to $335,571 grant is available to successfully identify businesses or organizations that will work with the BetterBuildings for Michigan team to provide data management services that will be used to monitor and implement the data collection required by DOE relevant to the BetterBuildings for Michigan aggregate project. There is one grant available. No match requirement. Proposals are due Monday, July 11, 2011. The expected grant start date will be August 16, 2011 and the grant completion date will be June 2, 2013. Eligible applicants are small businesses or organizations who can demonstrate successful experience with similar projects.
The original Better Buildings for Michigan Proposal was submitted in response to the Recovery Act: Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants: Competitive Solicitation: Retrofit Ramp-up Program Funding Opportunity Announcement Number: DE-FOA-0000148. This proposal was submitted by Michigan Saves Inc. and the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor, and Economic Growth on behalf of a collaborative group of Michigan entities including: (1) the City of Detroit represented by the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation; (2) Southeastern Michigan including Wayne, Washtenaw, Oakland and Macomb counties represented by the Southeast Michigan Regional Energy Office; and (3) the City of Grand Rapids.
