Our goal is to encourage the sustainable production and use of energy derived from Michigan's biomass resources through program policies, public and private partnerships, information dissemination, and state project grants.

Biomass Energy Program Workshop Assistance PDF icon
The purpose of this funding opportunity is to assist workshops or events that increase awareness of energy or fuel derived from Michigan biomass resources within a target audience. The maximum award for each workshop or event is $2,500; a 25% minimum match is required. MBEP Workshop and Event funds will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis for applications that best meet the stated criteria, until all designated funds are distributed. All workshops/events must take place in Michigan and occur between December 1, 2011 and August 30, 2012.  Please see the application guidelines for more details.
