Agency: Community Health

March 6, 2008

The Commission on Services to the Aging (CSA) and the Office of Services to the Aging (OSA) will conduct public hearings around Michigan to seek input on issues of concern to older adults in our state.

This year four public hearings have been scheduled:

- March 21 - Evangelical Homes, Sterling Heights

- April 18 - OSA, Lansing

- May 16 - Grand Haven Senior Center, Grand Haven

- October 19 - University Center, Gaylord

All hearings will be held 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Those concerned with transportation, nutrition, housing, long term care (LTC), health, independence, scams, employment, volunteer opportunities, and other issues that are important to older adults, are invited to attend and provide testimony.

In addition to comments received from citizens at the public hearings, OSA encourages the submission of written testimony. Mail written testimony to OSA, PO Box 30676, Lansing, 48909-8176, attention Cindy Albrecht, or e-mail to Albrecht@michigan.gov, or fax to 517/373-4092.

For more information or directions to the public hearings, please visit www.michigan.gov/miseniors, or call (517) 373-4082.
