Until January 2012, if you were educated in Canada and hold a current, active Canadian license, you are not required to obtain CGFNS certification or a CGFNS Credentials Evaluation Report. You must take and pass the NCLEX exam to receive a full Michigan license.

You can apply for a temporary license until you have taken the NCLEX. A temporary license is good for one year and this is usually enough time to take the NCLEX and have your results submitted to this office as part of your application.
