Clinical Process Guideline: MAINTAINING HYDRATION AND ELECTROLYTE BALANCE
This Guideline is an example of best practice information designed to help facilities provide the best possible care throughout the year. Surveyors will use this process guideline to review how the facility is managing concerns related to hydration and electrolyte balance in residents along with the information in the Federal OBRA regulations. The facility is encouraged to examine their process to prevent and manage hydration and electrolyte balance and to consider the application of this information.
