General Overview

The Division of Health Facilities and Services has operating responsibility through its three sections to assure that health facility renovation, remodeling and new construction (Health Facilities Engineering Section); Certificate of Need Section; and x-ray machines including mammography machines (Radiation Safety Section) provide services to the citizens of Michigan in a safe and effective environment.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Division of Health Facilities and Services is to serve the citizens of Michigan in the most efficient manner while promoting and assuring the safe and effective provision of health care services and functioning of health care facilities.
