2009 Certificate of Need Seminar -- October 27, 2009

Representatives of the Radiation Safety Section will be attending a seminar put on by the Certificate of Need (CON) program of the Michigan Department of Community Health. We will be participating in two break-out sessions:

11:30 - 12:30 Proposed CT Rules for Radiation Safety
1:45 - 2:45 Regulatory Agencies after CON

Space is still available for the Certificate of Need Seminar being held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. The deadline to register has been extended to Friday, October 9, 2009.

The goal of the Seminar is to provide a greater understanding of the CON Application, follow up, and annual survey processes as well as other regulatory requirements after CON approval for potential applicants and interested parties. Highlights of this year's seminar include a federal keynote speaker on health care reform, breakout session on other state CON models (New York and Virginia), recent findings from 2008 annual survey and changes for the 2009 survey, and future mapping initiatives.

The Seminar will be held at Lansing Community College ‑ West Campus, located at 5708 Cornerstone Drive, Lansing, Michigan 48917.
