The Mother-to-Mother Program

The Mother-to-Mother Program offers peer counseling help for breastfeeding mothers and babies.
  • A peer counselor is a mother with breastfeeding experience who can help you in your home or talk with you by phone.
  • A peer counselor is a mother who can help answer your breastfeeding questions before and after your baby is born.
  • A peer counselor is a mother who can  share heart to heart about breastfeeding.

The Mother-to-Mother Program is the outcome of a partnership between WIC and Michigan State University Extension known as the Breastfeeding Initiative.
