Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine as soon as vaccine is available this fall. Even healthy people can get the flu and it can be serious. The 2011-2012 flu vaccine will protect against three different flu viruses: an A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)-like virus; an A/Perth/16/2009 (H3N2)-like virus; and
a B/Brisbane/60/2008-like virus.
