Considerations for Conducting Vaccination Clinics in Michigan
As a community vaccinator in the State of Michigan, there are certain regulations and professional standards of practice you should be aware of. The State of Michigan follows the recommendations of the national Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). ACIP statements are official recommendations for the use of vaccines in the United States and are published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Be sure to read Considerations for Conducting Vaccination Clinics in Michiganbefore moving forward with your immunization clinics.
Referral Posters for Pharmacies, Retail Stores, and Community Vaccinators Offering Flu Shots
*These posters should be placed in all community vaccinator clinics, in order to refer those patients who are not being served (i.e., children under a certain age, pregnant women, elderly adults). These patients need to be referred to their private provider or local health department (LHD). A map of LHDs with contact information is available to assist in your efforts.
