The Bureau of Substance Abuse & Addiction Services oversees prevention, treatment and recovery efforts related to substance abuse and problem gambling addictions in Michigan.

Substance Abuse Regional Coordinating Agencies (CAs)   PDF icon
CAs are under agreement with MDCH to provide substance abuse prevention and treatment services throughout Michigan.

Treatment services include detoxification, inpatient and outpatient care, short and long term residential therapy, and access services for women and families. Opioid treatment medication, including methadone, is provided by opioid treatment programs (OTP). Please click on Treatment to learn more.

Prevention is involved in reducing youth access to tobacco and underage drinking, and providing parenting awareness resources. Please click on Prevention to learn more.
