OFFICE OF DRUG CONTROL POLICY


      On January 8, 2009, Deborah J. Hollis was named Acting Director of the Office of Drug Control Policy.

      A proven leader, Deborah is no stranger to the ODCP, she currently is the Director of the Bureau of Substance Abuse & Addiction Services, and served as the administrator of the Division of Substance Abuse and Gambling Services since 2000. In these roles she has been responsible for developing policies and implementing programs for statewide publicly-funded substance abuse prevention and treatment services. She has also administered the statewide problem gambling program for a number of years.

      Deborah received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and earned her Masters of Public Administration from Western Michigan University. She takes over for Donald L. Allen, Jr., former Director of the ODCP, who was recently appointed by Governor Granholm to serve as 55th District Court Judge in Ingham County.
