In October 2008, Deborah J. Hollis was named Director of the Bureau of Substance Abuse & Addiction Services.

      A proven leader, Deborah is no stranger to BSAAS, she served as the administrator of the Division of Substance Abuse and Gambling Services from 2000 to 2008. As administrator, she has been responsible for developing policies and implementing programs for statewide publicly-funded substance abuse prevention and treatment services. She has also administered the statewide problem gambling program for a number of years.

      Deborah received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and earned her Masters of Public Administration from Western Michigan University.
