Reduce Underage Drinking

Strategic Prevention Framework, State Incentive Grant (SPF/SIG)
One goal of the SPF/SIG is to prevent the onset and reduce the progression of substance abuse, including childhood and underage drinking.

Michigan Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking (MCRUD)
The goal of MCRUD is to develop and provide support to statewide coalitions and community groups working to address the issue of underage alcohol use. As of 2007, there are twenty-one local groups throughout the state that identify themselves as "Regional MCRUD Coalitions."

MCRUD is a program of Prevention Network (PN), based in Lansing, Michigan. It is administered by Prevention Network, Inc., with funding provided by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Michigan Bureau of Substance Abuse & Addiction Services (BSAAS), and the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning (OHSP).
