CA Monitoring & Risk-based Assessments of Subcontractors
The current BSAAS CA Contract requires that "The CA conducts monitoring and risk-based assessments of all subcontractors, during the period of the agreement." As part of the BSAAS site review process, we have reviewed each CA's performance in this regard. The links below are examples of two risk-based plans from our 2009 and 2010 reviews. We post them as guidance for the field. Both assess risk and use customized risk indicators.
The Pathways/Northcare Plan establishes clear criteria to place sub-contractors in low-, moderate-, or high-risk categories.
The Oakland Plan demonstrates that these plans and processes can be effective without being overly complicated or complex, as long as the evaluation criteria are clearly defined.
