Uniform Management Information and Reporting System (UMIRS)
Pursuant to "No Child Left Behind" H.R. 1 of 2001; Section 4112(b)(3) of Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1 of the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (SDFSCA), Michigan has implemented data collection and reporting to comply with the Uniform Management Information and Reporting System (UMIRS) requirements. This project is a collaboration between the Michigan Department of Community Health, Office of Drug Control Policy, Michigan Department of Education, and the Center for Educational Performance Institute (CEPI). Michigan is publishing information gathered from local school districts, intermediate school districts and public school academies, and discretionary grants receiving funds under Title IV, Part A, SDFSCA.

Student Survey Data Reports
The Michigan Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) is part of a nationwide surveying effort led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to monitor students' health risks and behaviors in six categories identified as most likely to result in adverse outcomes.
Click on the link below to view information on the incidence and prevalence, age of onset, perception of health risk and perception of social disapproval of drug use and violence by youth in schools and communities. The Youth Risk Behavior Survey is the source of this data. Survey data is collected every two years.
