The Law Enforcement Section of ODCP is responsible for administering federal criminal justice grants in the state of Michigan, including the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant, the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment for State Prisoners Grant, and the Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant Program.
In addition, the Law Enforcement Section spearheads the Michigan Methamphetamine Control Strategy and the State Methamphetamine Task Force. The section is also involved in various other criminal justice related initiatives and efforts throughout the state.

Michigan Meth Watch Program
This program is designed to help limit the theft and suspicious sales of pseudoephedrine products, as well as other common household products used in the unlawful manufacturing of Methamphetamine in small, toxic labs. A key goal of this program is to promote cooperation between retailers and law enforcement to prevent the diversion of legitimate products for illegal use.

Updated U.S. statistics from BJS and non-BJS sources on drug use and related crimes among adults and juveniles, drug law violations, drug treatment under correctional supervision, the drug-control budget, and public opinion about drugs.
