Celebrate Public Health Week in Michigan

2011 National Public Health Week Logo

Michigan will celebrate Public Health Week April 11-17, 2011. The theme for Michigan Public Health Week 2011 is Safety is No Accident: Live Injury Free.  This year's theme embraces the concept of creating a healthier nation by taking action within your community to promote safety and prevent injuries and violence.

MDCH will highlight the week at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, at its annual Hometown Health Heroes celebration in the Capitol Rotunda.  During the event, the department and its partners will recognize 7 Health Policy Champions and 13 Hometown Health Heroes who have worked collaboratively to make their communities healthier places to live and grow.

Capitol Rotunda Event Program
