- Fun in the sun is always a summertime favorite, but make sure you take care of your skin.
- My name is Janet Olszewski and I am the Director of the Michigan Department of Community Health.
- Over exposure to the sun can cause heat exhaustion, sunburn, skin cancer, and wrinkles.
- There are ways to protect yourself from overexposure and still enjoy the warm weather.
- If you are going to be in the sun, wear sun block, sunglasses with complete UV protection and hats to shield your face and eyes.
- Also, relax in the shade and be sure to stay hydrated with plenty of water.
