The Michigan Department of Community Health (DCH) has summarily suspended the nursing licenses of Gordon Michael Ziegler, L.P.N., R.N. The DCH Bureau of Health Professions orders a summary suspension when it believes that the public’s health, safety and welfare warrant emergency action.
The summary suspension is based on allegations that Ziegler had inappropriate sexual contact with four female patients while practicing as a nurse in a hospital.
On January 21, 2004, DCH issued an order summarily suspending Ziegler’s licenses. An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of Ziegler’s nursing licenses.
More information about disciplinary actions taken by the health professional licensing boards is available on the DCH website at: http://www.michigan.gov/mdch, then select the Health Systems and Licensing link.
