The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) has summarily suspended the pharmacy license of George Raymond Wildern, R.Ph., due to his felony convictions in the 56th Judicial District Court, Eaton County, Michigan.
On October 3, 2003, Wildern pled guilty to Operating Under the Influence of Liquor/Per Se Third Offense and Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer. Additionally, Wildern pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Operating - Violation of License Restrictions. Wildern was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail, placed on probation for one year, and ordered to pay fines and costs totaling $2,840.00.
On January 22, 2004, MDCH issued an order summarily suspending Wildern’s license, pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional upon the conviction of a felony. An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of Wildern’s pharmacy license.
