The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) has summarily suspended the nursing license of Tisha Jeanne Hartman, R.N., due to her felony conviction in the Third Judicial Circuit Court, Wayne County, Michigan.
On June 20, 2002, Hartman pled guilty to Controlled Substance-Possession of Analogue and was placed on probation for two years. Hartman failed to report her conviction to MDCH as required by the Public Health Code.
Additionally, on February 17, 2004, pursuant to the Public Health Code, MDCH was notified that Hartman had been terminated from employment based on a positive urine drug screen for cocaine.
On May 12, 2004, MDCH issued an order summarily suspending Hartman’s nursing license pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional upon the conviction of a felony. An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of Hartman’s registered nurse license.
