MDCH RECOMMENDATION FOR INFLUENZA IMMUNIZATION

For optimal protection throughout the flu season, the Michigan Department of Community Health recommends that providers begin to offer influenza vaccination as soon as vaccine becomes available (typically in August) and continue to vaccinate until the vaccine expires (typically June 30). These recommendations align with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For additional information, refer to:
