    Healthy Homes Grant Programs

    Asthma Control through Education and Environments (ACE)

    Do you or your child have asthma? ACE can help!

    ACE is a NEW program through the Michigan Department of Community Health that can help you or your child learn how to manage asthma.

    How can ACE help?

    • A certified asthma educator will visit your home and help you learn to manage your/your child?s asthma.
    • We will inspect your home and install products to reduce asthma triggers.

    You are eligible for this FREE program if:

    • You or your child has asthma
    • You live in one of the following Lansing townhouse developments:
      • LaRoy Froh (Reo Road)
      • Hildebrandt (Turner Street)
      • Hoyt/Forest (Aurelius Road)
      • Vernon Park (Waverly Road)
      • South Washington Apartments (S. Washington Ave)

    Other grant programs

    MDCH has operated U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control grants since 1996.

    Current:

    Asthma Interventions in Public and Assisted Multifamily Housing: The Healthy Homes Section, Asthma Prevention and Control Program, and Lansing Housing Commission are currently administering the HUD Asthma Interventions in Public and Assisted Multifamily Housing grant. The program will take place in the cities of Lansing and Flint.

    MDCH has also operated HUD Lead Hazard Control grants since 1996.
