This unit offers serological tests to diagnose bacterial and parasitic infections such as syphilis, Lyme disease, legionellosis, and toxoplasmosis, as well as typing of pathologic strains of Legionella species.

The following tests are performed within the Bacterial and Parasitic Serology Unit at the Michigan Department of Community Health, Bureau of Laboratories.
