Advisory Council on Asian Pacific American Affairs


The Advisory Council for Asian Pacific American Affairs was created by a May 2005, Executive Order from Governor Jennifer M. Granholm, to advise the Governor and the Department of Civil Rights on policy matters pertaining to Asian and Pacific Americans in Michigan. The Council was placed administratively inside the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. A copy of the Governor’s Executive Order is available on the Governor’s website at http://www.michigan.gov/gov. Governor's Advisory Council on Asian Pacific American Affairs Online Civil Rights Survey is a first effort by the Governor’s Advisory Council on Asian Pacific Americans to identify the key civil rights issues facing the Asian Pacific American community and to prioritize them. Please click here to complete the electronic survey. We are seeking your assistance with this survey by completing the survey by March 31, 2006.

Please view the ACAPAA Top 5 Issues and Initiatives letter that invites you to give your opinions and comments on the most pressing issues facing the Asian Pacific American community in Michigan. Your comments will become an important part of a policy recommendation document that will be delivered to Governor Granholm in May, 2006. Please complete the ACAPAA Top 5 Issues Comment Response Form and return it to Frank Borja -fbborja@gmail.com as soon as possible.
