Community Services Block Grants Information

The Community Services Block Grants (CSBG) is jointly administered by the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR).  DHS has advised us that Block Grant funding will be available to grantees at the start of the fiscal year, October 1, 2009. Contracts will begin on that date or the date that the grantee's contract is signed by the director of DHS.

The deadline for grant proposals is Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 5:00 pm.
