Information session on ADA Amendments

Curious about the new ADA Amendments and what they mean for employment and housing discrimination?  Have questions for MDCR and EEOC officials about anti-discrimination laws and enforcement at the state and federal level?

On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., the EEOC will be holding an informational session in Detroit on the legal protections of federal civil rights laws in employment.  The session is FREE and open to community-based organizations and employee rights advocates.  Specific topics include the new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADAAA); the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act; recent guidelines on Religious Discrimination and other updates in employment and housing law and enforcement. 

The session is being held at Cadillac Place, 3054 W. Grand Boulevard, Room L- 150, Detroit, Michigan 48202.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.
