The Michigan Women's Commission has relocated to the Michigan National Tower, located on the corner of Allegan and Capitol Avenue in downtown Lansing. In their new location on the first floor of the historic Tower, the Commission will be more accessible to the public, close to the State Capitol and convenient for conducting Commission business with State leaders.
"We are delighted to have the Women's Commission downtown," said Patti Garrett, Commission Chair. "This location will help the Commission carry out its mission and establish a strong identity with Michigan women."
"Consistent with the Commission's strategic plan, relocating the office to downtown Lansing will contribute to increasing the public profile of the Michigan Women's Commission as a resource for women," added Executive Director, Martha Truscott.
Created by Public Act 1 of 1968, the mission of the Michigan Women's Commission is to improve the quality of life for Michigan Women.
