| 24 | Formal Charge of Unlawful Discrimination Issued Against
Century 21 Town & Country
The Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR) has issued a Charge of discrimination against Century 21 Town & Country and its owner, real estate broker John R. Kersten. The Charge accuses the organization of illegally steering White homebuyers to predominately White neighborhoods and Black homebuyers to predominately Black neighborhoods. The Charge is the result of the investigation of a July 2005 complaint filed by the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA), which is hosting a press conference in Detroit on Thursday to announce that they are filing in federal court.

To Hold Meeting In Detroit
On Monday, January 22, 2007, beginning at 4:00PM, the Michigan Civil Rights Commission will host a general commission meeting in room L-500 of the Cadillac Place building in Detroit. Cadillac Place is located at 3054 West Grand Boulevard.
