Study: Demand for Sign Language Interpreters Will Continue To Grow

A study of the "Supply and Demand for Interpreters for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Michigan" was conducted by the Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth and the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Early Intervention Services, to provide background information for use in consideration of changes in federal law and associated state administrative rules that are intended to provide equal access for deaf and hard of hearing students to all educational opportunities through the employment of qualified interpreters in Michigan schools.  Click on the above link for more information.
