Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

• Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing
This state office concentrates on helping improve the lives of Michigan's one million Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens. Our mission is affirming the indisputable right of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons to secure effective communication. It receives input from its 13-member citizens Advisory Council appointed by the Governor. Services include Technical Support, Information & Referral, Accommodations, Interpreter Information & Services, and Research & Statistics.

• DODHH Advisory Council Members
A 13 member citizens Advisory Council of which a minimum of seven must be Deaf or Hard of Hearing, is appointed by the Governor, and serve for a term of three years.
