The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and related rules require group health plans to protect the privacy of health information. The Employee Benefits Division of the Civil Service Commission currently administers the following self-insured group health plans for state employees and retirees on behalf of the State of Michigan:
