Sometimes it takes a startling life event to prod us into change. Exercising is just not one of those things that some people get excited about. But if your life depended on it, could you get with it? Is your life hanging in the balance?
A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, indicates that quitting smoking, lowering blood pressure and reducing other health risks have prevented as many heart disease deaths over the past 20 years as costly high-tech treatments, says "U.S.A. Today".
It's worth repeating that even regular exercise at only moderate intensity has been shown to benefit individuals who were usually sedentary. As stated by Dr. Ken Cooper, "It's easier to maintain your health than regain it."
