Get Screened and Get Exercise!
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, colorectal cancer is the second leading cancer killer. Prevention remains key in the fight against any cancer. Numerous health sources continue to recommend exercise along with a diet low in fats (especially saturated fats), to help lower your risk of colorectal cancer.
The CDC has a multi-year Screen for Life: National Colorectal Cancer Action Campaign underway to inform men and women aged 50 years or older about the importance of having regular colorectal cancer screening tests.

Fight Diabetes with Exercise!
Health experts recommend exercise to help control weight and manage blood sugar levels. If you have difficulty with weight-bearing exercises, choose exercises that put less stress on your feet, such as swimming, bicycling, rowing, or chair exercises.
Regular exercise can help make your body more sensitive to insulin, and may decrease your need for medicines used to lower your blood sugar (if you are diabetic). Read more about exercise and diabetes @
