The Department of Civil Service has created a database containing listings of all current rules, regulations, and advisory bulletins that have been cross-referenced. This information can be accessed from the Department of Civil Service website at www.michigan.gov/mdcs/ in one of two ways: 1) by clicking on the "Regulatory Information" link (left side of the home page), and then clicking on the link "Rules, Regulations and Advisory Bulletins Cross Reference," or 2) by going to the heading, "Human Resource Professionals" (middle of the home page), clicking on the drop down button to the right, and scrolling down the alphabetical list until "Rules, Regulations and Advisory Bulletins Cross Reference" appears, highlighting this, and then clicking on the button that says, "Go." In either case, a screen will appear that allows the user to choose, by rule, regulation, or advisory bulletin, cross-referenced information. If blank fields appear after clicking on the "continue" button, there is no current cross-referenced information for the selected rule, regulation, or advisory bulletin. Please note that all references will indicate the current number.

We have also created links that facilitate access to the actual rule, regulation, or advisory bulletin by simply clicking on the link for the desired document number. Please note that linked advisory bulletins are only available beginning in 1998. If an older advisory bulletin has been referenced and a copy is needed, please contact the Bureau of Human Resource Services liaison assigned to your agency.
