AMENDMENTS TO RULES 2-11, 2-12, AND 2-14 |
On October 3, 2006, the Civil Service Commission approved amendments to the following rules:
Rules 2-11, Leave of Absence with Pay, and Rule 2-12, Leave of Absence without Pay.
The amendments permit an appointing authority to grant a leave of absence to a classified employee skilled in emergency relief services in order to provide volunteer disaster relief services for the American Red Cross. The amendments were circulated for comment in SPDOC 06-13 and were effective on October 3, 2006.
Rule 2-14, Rights of Employees Absent Due to Service in the Uniformed Services.
The amendments extend the supplemental pay provisions of the rule indefinitely. Previously, the supplemental pay provisions would have expired on September 30, 2006. The amendments were originally given interim approval on September 28, 2006, and were effective on October 1, 2006.
Copies of the rules as amended are attached.
