Appointing Authority Certifies a Performance Review with an Overall Rating of Unsatisfactory
The appointing
authority is notified by the Human Resources office when a supervisor selects
an overall rating of unsatisfactory.
The appointing
authority opens the personal self-service account. [Using Internet Explorer
6.0 (5.5 will also work), open www.michigan.gov/selfserv
and click on Go to Self-Serv NOW!]
Click Appointing
Authority/Main Menu.
Enter your ID number and click enter.
Enter the
employee ID and click enter. The Performance Management Main Menu appears.
Verify
correct employee name appears at the top of the page.
The appointing
authority looks at the complete review and when they agree with the unsatisfactory
overall rating, click in the box under appointing authority. The remainder
of the process is completed off-line.
If the
unsatisfactory rating is not correct or if changes need to be made to the
review, Human Resources will decertify the review and the supervisor will
make changes.
