As well as providing agency liasion services, this area provides support to the Office of Classifications and Selections(OCS). They are responsible for the full range of examination administration activities including scheduling, exam security, test administration (including reasonable accommodations) and scoring. Additionally, the section is responsible for four examinations: Entry-level Law Enforcement (#2002), State Police Sergeants (#2012), Administrative Support (#5030), and Nonprofessional Supervisors (#9031.

The section is also responsible for the Native American program, the Twelve-month trial appointment for persons with disabilities, Return to Work trial appointments, Veterans' Preference registration, employment verification, and employment history inquiries.
